Garden Scholarship Fund
In 2014, contributions from our partner agencies and from individual donors like you made it possible for us to provide $2150 in 50% garden scholarships to 43 low-income families in east Portland. The fees we charge gardeners go entirely to the hard construction and operating expenses (fences, water meters, compost, etc...) of the garden project they use, and make it possible for the projects to ultimately become self-sustaining.
Your donation of $32 makes it possible for low-income family of 4 to afford enough garden space to grow nearly all the fresh greens and herbs they need for 7 months of healthy eating. Please consider making a donation of any size today!

Contributions to Outgrowing Hunger
To make a contribution directly to help Outgrowing Hunger's organizational expenses, click below. While our projects are largely self-supporting through user fees and dedicated grants, our very modest organizational budget (keeping the lights on, the checks written, and getting new projects in the pipeline) relies on memberships one-time donations.
Please consider becoming a member of Outgrowing Hunger with an affordable contribution of $10 per month! Your small but consistent gift will have a far-reaching impact by allowing us to focus on building gardens instead of fundraising. Visit our Membership Page
